It seems like everyone has a blog these days! Well, looks like our team jumped on the blog bandwagon too :) The Sqog (a name thought up by lovely Jane and Allie, two of our players) is the official blog of the Cal Women's Squash Team [note the Cal colors].The Sqog is:
- a way for you to follow what we've been up to
- a way to keep up upcoming tournaments
- a place to read bios of the team players
- a way to read about the progress we've made
- the best damn blog ever created
We've come a long way as a team. Formed in Spring 2008, all of us came to the team knowing little about Squash. I came by myself to the Men's Team for Fall semester and then was given the opportunity to start the Women's Team with Coach Ashley Kayler (yay Coach!). It's awesome being able to watch everyone grow and develop as a player. I see so much focus, drive, and enthusiasm in our team. From starting off not even being able to hit the ball, everyone has come a long way. And we're just getting started...
